Moved by the desperate calls for help from those who lost nearly everything to the devastating floods—an unfortunate consequence of worsening climate change- Gen Lab alongside Human Aid Bangladesh, extended a hand of hope and organized a free medical camp and relief effort for the flood-affected communities in Bandarban. This initiative was our response to the devastating floods that left many families in urgent need of medical attention and essential supplies. Gen Lab is proud to have partnered with Human Aid Bangladesh and Green Savers to host a Kidney Awareness Program and free Kidney Screening Camp at the NGO Affairs Bureau. With the participation of 100 attendees, the event focused on providing free kidney health screenings and educating the community about the importance of early detection, prevention and treatment of kidney diseases.Dr. Sheikh Moinul Khokon from Human Aid Bangladesh Foundation highlighted the increasing number of kidney patients and the need for regular screenings, while GenLab's Executive Director, Ratul Dev emphasized the impact of climate change and unhealthy habits on kidney health, especially among women and the elderly.Main goal of this program was raising awareness and making healthcare more accessible, especially in remote areas.
